You know, it's damn sad when your cat has better drinking water than you do. Today Dan decided to buy Sam a fancy water dish that filters the water, has it flow over a dome (so that there is constantly running water) and then into a dish. Then the water starts the whole loop again.
We don't even have a water filter! We just drink it strait from the tap. Which is what Sam prefers to do. Damn that cat. I even said in a rare moment of insight while in the pet store, "You know, cats are like little kids: You buy them the fancy toys, and they'll play with it for a while and then all they'll want to play with is the box." So we get it home and we clean it, and fill it with water, and get it running. Sam is interested in it for all of 5 minutes. Then he goes and plays in the box.
AND HE STILL WANTS TO DRINK FROM THE TAP!!!
He sits on the counter and whines and whines. Stupid cat! :-P So now every time he gets up there, we pick him up and put him in front of his new, awfully expensive water dish. Then he just walks away. Damn him...
Other than that, Dan's mom got a new hot tub, and we got to go check it out tonight. Pretty sweet! Now all I need is a friend with a pool, and I'll be set for the summer.
Also, Dan's dad gave us a really sweet digital camera, with a zoom, and a ton of memory cards. But we don't have a wire to connect it to the computer, which kinda sucks. I don't know if we're allowed to keep this camera, or if it's on loan, so I'm kinda nervous about taking it and using it too much. I'd feel awful if it got broken or something.
But now I'll be able to take all the pictures I want! Too bad I don't have any special occasions coming up to take pictures of.
