Work, Work, Work...

I've been working so much this week, it's ridiculous. I mean, I go from practically no shifts to 7 in a row, one day for a break, and then 2 more shifts. Then it's off to lovely Nanaimo for the weekend and friends and family!

Honestly, I kinda miss being this busy. It makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something. Though I've noticed that walking home causes terrible amounts of pain. I honestly don't know what causes it. I get this terrible ache/tearing pain in the side of my left leg. It doesn't happen all the time, just once every few months. It's the strangest thing.

Does anyone else have that one person at work/school that you just don't jive with? I do. For some reason she doesn't sit right with me. She seems to have this attitude that because I'm new to Addition-Elle, I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing. It's like I don't know how to do my job or something, and she has to keep tabs on me. I don't like having people assume that I don't know Jack Shit about my job. Yes I'm new to this kind of retail, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to put the clothes away! Today she comes up to me and says, "So you're off soon, do you think you can start working on the put-backs?" She didn't notice me take a handful of clothes off the rack and put them away as she told me this. Be a little me observant, would you? I don't like people who think I can't do anything on my own. I'm not a child. I know how to think!

There was another day last week where she was doing something, and I was doing something, and I noticed our manager, Julie was off the floor. So I walked over to my fellow associate, and simply asked, "Is Julie on her break?"

She turns to me and with and incredulous tone in her voice says, "Yes, she's on her lunch. She's allowed to have a lunch break."

Thanks for that, tips! You know, just cuz I never seem to be entitled to a break doesn't mean I think no one else is. I only work 4 hours a day...not getting my break isn't that big a deal (though I'd like to get it if I could). But I realize that when the manager is there for the better part of her day, that she goes for lunch! I'm not an idiot!! All I wanted to know is if she was out of the store or not! There's no reason to get all snotty about it, bitch! Dammit!

God, now I'm all riled up! I'm gonna go clean my bathroom!
