~Hell Boy (to a demon with a crazy long tongue)
If you haven't guessed yet, I went to see Hell Boy tonight with Dan. He wanted a break from all the homework and studying, so we took a walk to the closest theatre and saw a movie. It was pretty good too. I enjoyed it thoroughly! Big red man with horns and a hand made out of living rock? Woman who can control blue flames? Fish-man? All of them fighting big bad demons? Friggin' sweet!
It was also pretty cool that a guy outside the theatre stopped us and then asked, "You wouldn't be going to see Hell Boy, would you?"
To which I responded "Yes."
Then he goes, "Would you like a ticket? My friend bailed on me, and I already bought this like an hour ago."
I was like, "Wow, thanks!"
He just gave us a free ticket! Yay for random acts of kindness!! It was valid and everything. I'm always pleasantly surprised when stuff like this happens. I try to return the favour when I can. Like giving some guy who needs a quarter for the bus a bus ticket...I really believe that Karma exists sometimes. Especially when stuff like this happens to me. It's so simple but so appreciated!
The movie was based on a comic book (you know, cuz those kinda movies aren't popular right now or anything) so the beginning was a little cheesy. But after you get past that initial campiness, it really picks up. I mean there's even a mechanical man that's nigh unstoppable! He's like the Energizer Bunny! He just keeps going and going and going and going.... You get the idea.
I liked this movie. But my tastes can be strange sometimes. The best way to find out is to go to the show yourself.
