Interesting....Very Interesting...Well, Maybe Not...

Today I realized that I've never actually bought myself any books by one of my favourite authors. You see, I read a lot of Charles de Lint books, but mostly because Linda lends them to me. She's got tons of them. And she always lends them to me to read. I think I've read a good chunk of her collection (that haven't been lent to other people anyway).

At Christmas time, I even bought her Jack of Kinrowan, which she had lost some years before (so that one doesn't count, cuz I didn't buy it for myself). We found out later that Jim had the original copy for some time. I then got the first copy for myself. You know, cuz Lin didn't need that copy anymore; she had a nice new shiny one. But again, I never technically bought it for myself.

Today, Lin and I were out shopping, and we stopped by A&B. This one here in Victoria has a pretty good book section in it, so we went to go check it out. That's when Lin pointed out a book of short stories by Charles de Lint called Waifs and Strays. And it was only $3.00!!!

"Holy crap," I thought to myself, "Well now I have to buy it!"

And so now, I have finally bought a Charles de Lint book for my very own. I'm so proud!
